Format:
The scoring goes like this:
It is combined Semi-Pro scoring format!
Everyone plays stableford Modified 2 scoring (our normal 6 for eagle, 4 for birdie, 2 for par, and 1 for bogey)
Everyone plays gross; so the format should be FAST!! Not in by bogey?. . . pick it up and mark it a double!
How is that fair? Good question! Your handicap comes into play in determining your point hurdle. For example, lets say I get 5 strokes as my course handicap next month, I would subtract that from 36 . . . the answer is 31. 31 is my point hurdle; meaning I would not start making points until I reached 31! If I make 34 gross stableford points, then I'd be +3. If my partner scored +1 on the day, we'd be +4 for the tourney. Best combined score wins the event!
In another example, let's say a higher handicap player's course handicap next month is 24. We'd subtract that from 36 to get 12, and 12 would be that player's point hurdle. They would start scoring points after just 12 gross stableford points. So you may find great value with the higher handicap players!!
Entries capped at 48 players, and entries must be a multiple of 4 so get your dues in early. Fees due no later than September 11, 2026, or whenever max players is reached, whichever is sooner.
